Karachi: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that there will be no gas load shedding in Sindh during Eid Al Adha, including Karachi, during the Eid ul Adha holidays from June 15 to 18, starting from midnight tonight.


In a statement, SSGC assured that the gas supply will remain steady throughout the Eid celebrations, providing much-needed relief to residents. However, the company also mentioned that the usual gas loadshedding schedule will recommence on June 19.


Eidul Adha will be celebrate in Pakistan on June 17, following the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon on June 7.


Eidul Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, is an important Islamic holiday celebrated by millions of Muslims worldwide, including in Pakistan. 


The holiday honors the readiness of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah's command. During this time, Muslims participate in charitable acts, perform special prayers, and enjoy festive meals with family and friends.
