The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) conducted a raid at Bahria Town's Rawalpindi office in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust University case.

This raid, involving Punjab police and elite force teams, aimed to uncover records related to the Al-Qadir Trust University. This university is linked to a high-profile corruption case involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and a £190 million settlement with the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA).

Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and other PTI leaders are accused of corruption, including adjusting Rs50 billion (then £190 million) sent by the NCA to the Pakistani government.

Allegedly, Khan and the other accused received 458 kanals of land for establishing Al-Qadir University as part of the deal, which the NAB is now investigating for possible misuse of power and illegal benefit.

Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz Hussain has publicly stated his resolve not to cooperate by becoming an approver.

The NAB's investigation also covers potential irregularities in land acquisition for Bahria Enclave, purportedly allocated for a zoo. The case continues to unravel as NAB deepens its probe into these serious allegations.
