KARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced that the exams postponed on May 28 will now take place on Sunday, June 2.
The federal government declared May 28 a national holiday to observe Youm-e-Takbeer, commemorating the day when Pakistan successfully conducted nuclear tests in the Chaghai hills in 1998.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the education board indicated that the postponed exams would be held at the same examination centers as the intermediate annual exams, which will be conducted simultaneously.

The statement specified that in the morning shift, ninth-grade students in the Science Group will take their exams in Urdu Normal Course, Sindhi Normal Course (Compulsory), Geography of Pakistan Paper-I, and English Literature in place of Urdu.
Additionally, matric students in the General Group will sit for their Arabic, Persian, and Household Accounts exams in the evening shift.
