WASHUK: A tragic accident claimed the lives of at least 28 people, including women and children, when a passenger bus overturned and plunged into a ditch in Balochistan's Washuk district on Wednesday morning.
According to rescue and Levies officials, around 22 people sustained injuries in the accident and have been transported to the Civil Hospital in Basima for medical treatment.
The accident occurred after a tyre burst caused the bus to lose control, rescue officials reported. The bus was en route from Gwadar to Quetta at the time of the incident.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences over the tragic incident and prayed for the souls of the departed. He also directed the authorities to provide necessary assistance to the injured.
Balochistan's Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also offered his condolences for the loss of lives and prayed for the recovery of those who were wounded in the horrific accident.
